Winter Painter

Hendrick Avercamp, known as 'the Mute of Campen' is one of the great painters of the 17th century. He is best known for his winter scenes with many people on the ice, which he is also called 'the winter painter'.His drawings and paintings can be found in museums and private collections worldwide, but little is known about the painter himself.
